CARLOWAY BROCH VISITOR CENTRE

Carloway Broch can be found on the extreme north western edge of the British Isles and is one of the few brochs in existance. Broch is the name given to a unique type of Iron Age fort. Not far from the wild waves and unpredictable moods of the Atlantic, Dun Carloway on the Isle of Lewis was built over 2000 years ago making it one of the oldest existing fortifications in Britain.

The visitor centre stocks an array of local made handcrafts including a selection of cards mounts and ceramics from our collection.
